Hanh Van Tran, OMI and Harley Mapes, OMI were with the people of Black Tickle, Labrador for Holy Week and Easter Week.

Black Tickle is a community of 200 located on an island off the east shore of Labrador.

September 7, 2008 Dr. Barrett Adams and Dr. Donald McCunn, long-time supporters of the Medical Friends of Peru, were installed as Honorary Oblates of Mary Immaculate.

An hour and a half west of Prince George is the community of Fraser Lake. Vince James OMI, the pastor, warmly welcomes and, as always, thoroughly entertains visitors.

Fort St James has long been ministered to by the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate. As well as "The Fort", Frank Salmon OMI and three Sisters of St. Joseph (Toronto) also serve several First Nations communities including Tache.

Tom Cavanaugh OMI, Jim MacDonell OMI and Harley Mapes OMI visited with Phil Smith OMI in Ucluelet and Tofino on the west coast of Vancouver Island. Three Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, who have lived in the area for over forty years, also minister to the community. The road across the Island and the areas around the two communities is astoundingly beautiful so this gallery contains many scenery pictures.

In October 2007, the Vancouver Basic Oblate Community met at Saint Augustine'sParish Hall to discuss community issues; as a part of their meeting, there was a presentation on the OMI Lacombe website and a presentation by the province Treasurer. After the meeting, Oblates gathered at Pandosy Place for community time and supper.

Nicanor Sarmiento OMI, a member of OMI Lacombe who is originally from Peru, was in Halifax on October 10, 2007 for a ceremony in which he received his Canadian citizenship. After the ceremony, Nicanor returned to the United States to continue his studies in Missiology.

Nicanor Sarmiento, OMI originaire du Perou et un membre d'OMI Lacombe, etait à Halifax le 10 octobre 2007 pour une ceremonie pendant laquelle il a reçu sa citoyennete canadienne. Après la ceremonie, il est retourne aux etats-Unis pour poursuivre ses etudes en missiologie.

The Atlantic Local Community met from Monday, October 1, 2007 to Thursday, October 4, 2007 in Grand Falls Newfoundland. Jim Fiori OMI, Second Vicar Provincial for OMI Lacombe Canada, presented two days of retreat to the community. Also on hand for presentations on community finances was the Treasurer of OMI Lacombe, Tim Coonen OMI. 

La Communaute locale de l'Atlantique s'est rencontree du lundi 1er octobre 2007 au jeudi 4 octobre à Grand Falls, Terre-Neuve. Jim Fiori, OMI, deuxième Vicaire pour OMI Lacombe Canada a donne une retraite de deux jours à la communaute. Aussi, Tim Coonen, OMI, le tresorier d'OMI Lacombe etait egalement disponible pour des presentations sur les etats financiers de la communaute.

August 17, David MacPhee began a year of intensive discernment with the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate at the novitiate in Godfrey, Illinois.  During this year, David will consider whether God is asking him to commit his life to the service of the Gospel within the Oblate community. From July 8 to July 21, 2007, Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate delegates from around the world met in Bangkok, Thailand to exchange information and discuss issues related to Justice, Peace and the Integrity of Creation (JPIC). Immediately preceeding the conference, there was the opportunity to visit some of the missions staffed by the Oblate community in Thailand.
